| The ShurTrax All Weather Traction Aid for Compact Pickup Trucks and SUVs adds handling, traction control and traction weight over the rear axle, preventing axle hop and wheel hop. Simply add up to 300 pounds of water using a simple garden hose, and the included fill fitting. Four brass grommet tie-downs allow for safe, secure weight that improves vehicle balance, handling, cornering and traction on wet, slippery roads. ShurTrax answers the safety concerns of alternative sources of weight such as sandbags, concrete blocks, cord wood and other potential projectiles. Baffles are die-electrically welded into place to prevent surging during cornering. No need to worry about carrying cargo on top of ShurTrax -- it has been tested to support up to 500 pounds. ShurTrax integrity is protected by a tough 25 millimeter vinyl outer chamber. This outer chamber vinyl is UV resistant and reinforced with woven nylon mesh for long service. The inner chamber is also 25 millimeters thick and flexes, enabling a smooth ride and improved handling. Included is a three year, "no-hassle" warranty against any defects in material and workmanship. |

This item arrived exactly as advertised and was simple to install in my 2005 Nissan (Frontier) truck. Filling it up was a snap. After a few months of use it appears that water is escaping somewhere, although there is no apparent leak - maybe this is normal.
The extra weight made a big difference in ride comfort, especially when going over speed bumps and other uneven road surfaces. It also helps to provide that much-needed extra traction on slippery roads (after rain) and has also helped to improve stopping distances - despite the extra weight. I am now waiting for snow to fall, so we can give it the real test.

| This product worked awesome! I used it on my most recent snowboarding trip. It was sleeting/snowing all the way, and the plows weren't out. I was one of the few people who stayed on the road! I had no problems with traction, even up slipery hills. This product is a must for anyone who lives in snow/ice country! |

This was easy to install in the truck when I received it in the fall and it seems to be very well made. We did not receive a lot of snow this year to do a lot of testing but I did notice the difference in handling in snow, wet, and ice cover roads. This product allowed me to shut my four wheel drive off in all conditions, which I could not do before buying the ShurTrax. I will be buying another one for my car before next winter comes.
