Product Description |
As the weather worsens and the snow piles up, driving becomes more and more dangerous. The roads become increasingly slippery due to snow and ice. Drivers need to use proper caution and be prepared for the treacherous conditions.
You should carry tire traction aids with you while driving. Traction aids are a great alternative to snow chains and tire chains. They are portable, durable, and easy to use. They require no installation and can be easily stored until you need them. Traction pads can be used when rock salt will not work. They can also be used when there is not enough snow on the road to warrant installing tire chains. Thus, they are a good compromise between de-icing rock salt and tire chains.
The Portable Tow Truck comes in a set of 2 traction pads. Made of Polypropylene, it is nearly indestructible and can be used over and over again. It works in mud, snow, ice, and sand. It can be used with many types of automobiles, from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive to all wheel drive.
The Portable Tow Truck is easy to use. Simply wedge The Portable Tow Truck under the pulling wheel (or wheels) and slowly drive the vehicle to a more suitable surface. Then store it in your trunk or behind the seat for future use.
The Portable Tow Truck traction aid will allow you to get back on the road again with very little time or money lost. With the average price of a tow truck call nearing a hundred bucks, just one use of The Portable Tow Truck will more than pay for itself.
If you use it once, you'll never travel without it. |

| I purchased two sets (shipping price is the same) and it is a very nice product. They come two tracks per, so I put 1 unit in each of my 4 cars. I've used it twice (with neighbors who got stuck sliding down their driveway!) and it worked really well. We just slide the track under the wheel and slowly it pulled under the tire and grabbed and out the car went!If you live in snow country they are a must. I'm sure I'll get a chance to try them out this spring in the mud. |
Works Great!!!

| My dad's truck was stuck in the mud at his home. We tried this traction aid and it worked great. It was easy to use and his truck was out of the mud in just a few minutes. |
So far....so good

| Used it twice during winter to get my honda civic out of some snow. Worked better than others that I've tried...and still in one piece. Note: Picture shows orange, but mine was black. |
Works Perfectly

| Works as described. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Best $30 I ever spent! Gives me peace of mind that I won't get stuck in the snow or ice. |
Used 2 times, truck axle-deep in mud

I have deliberately buried my F-150 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S rear tires in fresh farm mud--just about up to the rear axle. I used this mud pit once to test a 6000 pound cable puller (manually operated) + chains/straps/ropes.
I today tested the Portable Tow Truck pads. First time was very successful backing out--very nice. Second time a 6inch piece broke off the back end of one pad.
Mind you, I severely test every piece of camping/travel-related equipment I have bought over the years. I want it to work when it has to work in the wild. I gunned the truck very aggressively and it is no wonder the pad broke the second time--actually it got partially embedded in the tread and partially wrapped around (both times I tested these pads). I had to gun it to climp out of the 10inch deep ruts.
This product is excellent and most likely would not have broken in a real situation because I wouldn't have dug as deep before using the pads.
Good show.
